Site-responsive arts biennale enters exciting growth phase

The small port city of Fremantle in WA is widely known as Perth’s closest neighbour as well as its distant cousin. Its yesteryear wharfie vibe and crumbling colonial buildings are a thousand miles away from the rest of the world, yet its pockets of hipster cafés, contemporary art spaces and organic markets bear strong marks of the present moment.

For Artistic Director of the site-responsive contemporary arts festival Fremantle Biennale, Tom Mùller, the Walyalup/Fremantle region has informed the Biennale’s vision since 2017, when it set out to bring some of the most thrilling international contemporary art experiences to a place so steeped in history.

Cheltenham marketing agency wins big at regional enterprise awards

Cheltenham’s Content Chef celebrated its triumph alongside a selection of marketing businesses from the south west in October 2023 – winning the ‘Best Emerging Digital Marketing Agency’ award at the 2023 SME News’ Southern Enterprise Awards.

These awards acknowledge and celebrate
the most deserving and best performing small and medium enterprises that are
dedicated to serving their clients and customers across the UK.

Over the past two years, Content Chef has helped various local and global businesses, brands and
agencies build an online presence and make ‘more dough’ through authentic
storytelling — with its services ranging from copywriting, SEO optimisation, blog writing and social media management, to email marketing, paid social ads, PPC (pay-per-click), website design
and content marketing strategising.

The Content
Chef brand started in 2017 as a solo freelancing adventure — but as things
continued to grow through the pandemic,
founder and director, Daryl Charman, decided to let the stabilisers off and transition into a limited company in
April 2021.

Being Cheltenham-based itself, the company has a real commitment to working with the Gloucestershire community and local businesses. The team has worked with Sef Steakhouse — one of the newest restaurants to join Cheltenham’s Quadrangle — since day one, helping it to grow into a thriving and popular business.

Alongside this, Content Chef has recently started working with the well-loved Filipino restaurant Pyesta, helping its messages to resonate with its target audience and get them taking action, as well as several other exciting start-ups.

Charman said: ‘Our honest
and fun friendly approach has been the catalyst to our success. Despite the
challenges of the pandemic, our agency continues to grow.’

Daryl admitted that he’s worked in some toxic environments before launching Content Chef, where growth took precedence over the
people, but he’s not under the

How Much Does NGO Website Development Cost?

A well-designed website can serve as a powerful tool for NGOs to communicate their mission, raise awareness about their causes, and engage with supporters. However, a common question that arises is: “How much does NGO website development cost?” SEOLHR team develop an NGO website at the cost of just $2000, check the package here.

  1. Scope and Complexity

The scope and complexity of your NGO website will significantly impact the cost. A basic informational website with a few static pages will generally cost less than a complex website with interactive features, e-commerce functionality, donation portals, and integration with databases or third-party services. Decide what features are essential for your NGO and prioritize them based on your goals and budget.

  1. Design and Branding

A visually appealing and user-friendly design is crucial for any website, especially for NGOs aiming to engage and inspire visitors. Investing in professional design services will contribute to a positive user experience and brand recognition. Costs may vary depending on whether you hire a freelance designer, a design agency, or utilize website builders with pre-designed templates.

  1. Development Platform

The choice of development platform plays a role in the cost. Content Management Systems (CMS) like WordPress, Drupal, or Joomla are popular choices due to their flexibility and ease of use. Custom-built websites often require more resources and, consequently, a higher budget. Open-source CMS options can be cost-effective, while custom solutions provide more control but at an increased expense.

  1. Functionality and Features

The functionalities you want on your NGO website, such as event registration, blog sections, volunteer sign-up forms, and social media integration, will impact the cost. Each additional feature requires development time and potential integration with third-party tools, affecting the overall price.

  1. Responsive Design

In the mobile-centric era, having a responsive design that adapts seamlessly to various

How To Make Your Website Accessible

The world is becoming more socially aware and conscious – the idea that a section of the population cannot access a building or cross the road safely is abhorrent. Of course, there is still a long way to go in making the world a fully accessible place for people with different or limited abilities, but the internet is lagging far behind. Fortunately, technology constantly improves. What’s more, if you don’t update your website every few years, your business will look dated and out of touch. There are many opportunities and resources to make your website accessible – you just need to take advantage of them.

Focus on the Content

Your content will be the bulk of your website, so it’s a good place to start. Your overall aim for your content is for it to be good quality. This should always be the case, no matter who you are trying to appeal to, and fortunately, this will serve to make it accessible too. Content writing is a skill that takes time to master and is not something you want to get wrong. You should consider contacting a company like Click Intelligence which provide professional content writing services to make the most of your site.

Your content should be free of spelling and grammar mistakes as a baseline and have high readability. There are many readability scorers online where you can check and score your text – and the level should be determined by your audience. If your audience naturally includes people who find it harder to understand complex sentences, you will need to make your content easier to read.

Links (internal and external) are important in a website’s content. The links should be as accurate and descriptive as possible. It should be clear from the linked words what type of

Avoid Digital Marketing Disasters In 2023: 8 Tips For Unbeatable Success

Opinions expressed by Entrepreneur contributors are their own.

You’re reading Entrepreneur Asia Pacific, an international franchise of Entrepreneur Media.

Digital marketing can feel like it’s evolving at breakneck speed. Many business owners don’t have the hours in the day to keep up with the latest trends and forecasts for the rest of 2023 and onwards. Fail to move with the times and you risk losing market share to your closest competitor.

Jordan Power, President of the highly-sought after agency, Grey Smoke Media provides eight digital marketing tips that business owners should digest to succeed in the most competitive of arenas.

  1. Data, Data, Data- The more you know about your customer the more you can predict their next move. You already know your customer demographics but start to layer their psychographic information further and further. By collecting customer data, businesses can continue to create bespoke marketing efforts on both their website and weekly email newsletters.
  2. Create content that is value-driven- You don’t just want to be a great brand; you want to be a source of value for your customer base. Content should be both informative, engaging, and shareable. Put the effort into creating something that propagates naturally across the web and watch it grow. If you yourself fit within the target demo, ask yourself if it’s something you’d want to share with your inner circle.
  3. Voice Search is coming- The prevalence of voice search is on the rise. The content on all your pages should be optimized to make way for this rising trend. The ways you can improve on this is to use language that is conversational, answer questions that are common (as you may be doing in the schema) and structure all language for easy scans by voice assistants.
  4. Build Communities alongside your brand– At a time
